Cleaning seats properly means treating the fabric, the foam beneath it, and the seams where soil concentrates — not just wiping the top surface.
How we clean fabric seats
- Vacuum the seat surface, seams, bolsters and the gap between the cushion and backrest
- Pre-treat visible stains and high-contact areas such as the driver's bolster
- Agitate with a soft brush appropriate for automotive upholstery
- Extract with controlled moisture so the foam underneath is not saturated
- Repeat extraction passes on heavier areas rather than over-wetting in one pass
Moisture control matters
The most common mistake with seat cleaning is soaking the cushion. Water that reaches the foam takes days to dry, can wick stains back to the surface as it evaporates, and in a humid week can create the exact musty smell the customer was trying to eliminate. Controlled moisture and multiple lighter passes produce a better and safer result.
Child seats and family vehicles
If you use child seats, removing them before the appointment lets us clean the area underneath, which is usually the dirtiest part of the entire rear bench. We do not reinstall child safety seats — installation is the owner's responsibility, and we would rather you set it correctly than trust us to.
