Detailing Guide

What Is Included in a Full Detail?

“Full detail” means different things at different companies, which is why it is worth reading the actual list rather than the label. At its core it should mean a complete interior service plus a complete exterior service in one appointment.

Here is what ours covers, and just as importantly, what a full detail is not.

Interior

  • Debris removal and full vacuum including under seats and cargo areas
  • Carpet and cloth seat extraction
  • Leather cleaning and conditioning where applicable
  • Vents, seams, console, cupholders, door pockets and jambs
  • Interior glass and mirrors

Exterior

  • Wheels, tires and wheel wells
  • Pre-rinse, foam soak and safe contact wash
  • Chemical decontamination and claying where needed
  • Wax or sealant protection
  • Exterior glass and tire dressing

What it does not include

A full detail is a deep clean and protect service, not paint correction. Swirl marks, etching and scratches require machine polishing, which is quoted separately. It also does not repair damage — cracked dashboards, torn upholstery and peeling clear coat are outside detailing entirely.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a full detail take?

Four to eight hours for most vehicles, depending on size and condition.

Should I add paint correction?

If the paint looks hazy or swirled in direct sunlight, yes. If it just looks dirty, a full detail is enough.
