Our interior process works top-down and dry-to-wet: loose debris first, then dust and surface cleaning, then extraction and treatment of soft surfaces, then glass last so nothing recontaminates it.
What gets addressed
- Carpets and floor mats — vacuumed, agitated and extracted
- Cloth seats — cleaned and extracted; leather cleaned and conditioned
- Dash, console, door cards and trim — cleaned and finished with a non-greasy UV-appropriate dressing
- Vents, seams, seat rails, seatbelt webbing, cupholders and door pockets
- Interior glass and mirrors, including the windshield haze that develops in heat
- Door jambs and sills, which most quick cleanings skip entirely
Heat, dust and Sacramento interiors
A dark-colored car parked on an uncovered lot in July gets extremely hot inside. That heat drives plasticizers out of vinyl and dashboard surfaces, which is what produces the sticky film and hazy windshield film so many local drivers notice. It also volatilizes anything spilled, which is why a small drink spill can turn into a persistent smell weeks later.
Dust is the other constant. Fine Central Valley dust gets into every seam, and dry-vacuuming alone does not move it out of textured plastic. We use compressed air and detail brushes to lift it before wiping, otherwise you just smear it.
Interior detailing versus interior deep cleaning
Interior detailing is our standard interior service and suits a vehicle in normal condition. Interior deep cleaning is the escalation — heavier extraction, pet hair removal, odor work and stain treatment for interiors that have been neglected or have a specific problem to solve.
Frequently asked questions
How long will the interior stay damp?
Extraction leaves carpets slightly damp. In Sacramento's dry climate they typically dry within a few hours with the windows cracked; in cooler, wetter months allow longer.
Do you clean the headliner?
We spot-clean headliners carefully. Aggressive cleaning can separate the adhesive backing, so we treat this conservatively and tell you what to expect first.
Can you get sunscreen off the interior?
Usually yes. Sunscreen residue on door pulls and steering wheels is extremely common here in summer and responds well to proper cleaners.
