Removing it takes tools that grab and lift the hair out of the weave, plus time. It is one of the most labor-intensive interior services we offer, and one of the most satisfying to finish.
How we remove embedded pet hair
- Rubber and silicone tools to raise hair out of carpet loops and cloth weave
- Pumice and specialty blocks used carefully on durable carpet surfaces
- Compressed air to blow hair out of seams, seat rails and cargo tie-down channels
- Repeated vacuum passes between agitation stages
- Final extraction to address dander and odor, not just the visible hair
Sacramento dog owners, specifically
Between Folsom Lake, the American River Parkway, dog-friendly Midtown patios and the trail systems out toward Rancho Cordova, a lot of Sacramento vehicles are effectively dog transport. Add a dry, dusty summer and hair binds together with dust and skin oil into a mat that grips the fiber even harder.
If your dog rides regularly, a cargo liner or seat hammock plus periodic professional removal is far more practical than fighting it weekly at home.
Dander and smell
Hair is visible; dander and oils are what you smell. That is why we finish pet hair jobs with extraction and, when needed, odor work — removing the hair alone leaves the smell behind, especially in a car that gets hot during the day.
Frequently asked questions
Can you get all of it?
We remove the overwhelming majority. In severely embedded cases a small amount of hair remains woven into the fiber, and we will tell you if we see that early.
Does pet hair removal cost extra?
It is priced by the labor involved. Light shedding is included in interior service; heavy embedded hair is an add-on because it can add hours.
Should I book odor removal too?
If the car smells like a dog after it has been closed up in the sun, yes — hair removal alone will not fully solve that.
